Emptiness

Often heard is that phrase, " I feel so empty within". What is this void? Many a scholars and thinkers have allied this to our modern day living. I have often felt this this "emptiness" too. The loss of something creates this void, like a breakup. But very often after breakup one soon moves from emptiness to blankness. In many people the void exists through a large part of their adolescent and adult life. Some begin to live with it that, they become one with that void, the demarkations fade and they return to the whole. A few often never face this emptiness, they run. They move from one relationship to another, one hobby to another, on job to another and sometimes one city to another.
Often i wondered what is this void.? if it does exist why do fight it? When does this emptiness go? how does it go?

Below i describe what i believe and that is truly only my opinion. I welcome any reader to comment on it or respond to the questions above. I will edit the post and include your comments if your argument holds good.

I believe, to find or search our true selves is spirituality. Our conscious and subconscious draws from it. The departure and the growing distance from this search and our true selves because of a few failures, a few unachieved targets, and the many resentments that we have acquired. These cracks have widened over the period of time and have become the void. Such is the power is this dilution that the racy young mind widens this canyon in a shorter time than learning to cook egg. Thus in the late teens the " I feel so empty" phrase, which the continues into adulthood.
